Even an hour and a half late, Beyonce still shut down the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala 2015 on Monday, May 4 in NYC—and it wasn’t just because she donned a nearly nude dress for the occasion. The “XO” singer completed her ensemble with the highest of ponytails, and it was still going strong 24 hours later!
Proving that (at least from time to time) she really does “wake up like this,” Beyonce, 33, stepped out the next day rocking the same statement hairstyle. Her blonde curls were just slightly brushed out on the bottom, but overall, the style was just as pristine as it was when she first arrived on the carpet in her strategically beaded Givenchy illusion dress.
